Our organisation
-
Our structure
Britain Yearly Meeting (BYM) is the formal name of the main organisation of Quakers in Britain. It is made up of different meetings, groups and committees. Most of our work is done by volunteers within our worshipping community with support from Britain Yearly Meeting's paid staff.
-
Young adult Quakers
For many young adults Quakerism expresses itself in community work, campaigning and activism. Young adult Quaker communities can be spaces to develop connection, share experiences, and find belonging.
-
Meeting for Sufferings
Meeting for Sufferings is the standing representative body entrusted with the care of the business of Britain Yearly Meeting through the year.

Give time
Inspired to get involved in Quaker service?
Friends who offer service find that they can be led to achieve great things. Take part in a number of different ways.
-
Jobs and voluntary opportunities
We list jobs within Britain Yearly Meeting and some other Quaker organisations with whom we work closely. Jobs with local Quaker meetings can usually be found advertised in The Friend.
-
Book of Meetings
This page tells you where you will find much of the information previously published in the Book of Meetings.

Safeguarding
Safeguarding is important in our meetings and events. Here are links to all our information.
-
Support for meetings
Friends work together to run their local and area meetings. Quaker communities thrive when communities are spirit-led, loving, all-age, and rooted in the Quaker way.
Quaker Life can provide the extra things which Quaker communities may need to help them thrive.
-
Quaker roles
The responsibility for running local and area Quaker meetings is held by their members. Use these pages to find out about Quaker roles and the advice and support available to Friends.
-
Quaker groups
These groups demonstrate some of the many interests and concerns that Quakers pursue as part of their wider commitment to their faith. Most groups meet up and organise activities - it's a great way to meet Quakers and make new contacts.
Activities are usually open to non-Quakers. Do please contact a group if you are interested to know more about it.
